Description

The name “quartz” was introduced by Georgius Agricola (1494/1555) in 1529, a 16th century scholar considered the father of mineralogy.
Smoky quartz is one of the colored variants of mineral quartz, it is a macrocrystalline quartz, which owes its color to the natural or artificial irradiation of the aluminum salts it contains.
