Description

It was not until the beginning of the 13th century that the Dutch brought tourmaline from Sri Lanka under the indigenous name of “Turamali” which means “stone of mixed colors”.
Green tourmalines offer several shades of color, from bottle green, the most common, to yellow green, mint green, emerald green, but one of the rarest is chrome tourmaline, it is a deep green colored by chromium and vanadium.
Blue-green tourmalines are highly sought after.
